Aaron the Composer

Aaron began composing songs before he could talk. He'd demonstrate his compositions by playing the drum pattern, anywhere he could -- well, anywhere he could that would give him the sound he wanted. He is very particular about having the right sound from his drums. He wants a violin. Lessons to start soon.

We wrote about Aaron's previous compositions last year. This year, he kept mostly to hums, established songs, and other endeavors. His one opus, "A Tree in the Sky," was composed way back in January. I think it's his best yet. He also came up with a song about a rabbit and church bells later in the year, but I don't remember the words to that one. Then there was a song about a mosquito and a trash can, but it was rather short. Below, we reproduce the lyrics to "A Tree in the Sky."

A Tree in the Sky

by Aaron Orel

I went out walking
Along the way I saw a tree up in the sky
And next to the tree there was a rock

And the rock it never disappeared
And the rock it never disappeared
And the rock it never disappeared
Right now
